Scott Whitehead has lived in the Wanstead/Leytonstone area since 2000 and is qualified in level 3 in Forestry and Arboriculture at Capel Manor College. As well as tree removal, Scott can also advise how to reduce/thin trees if clients wish to maintain a tree but reduce the shade and have more light in their garden.

Scott is a regular contributor to Wanstead Village Directory magazine, writing articles on nature, trees and his other passion, meteorology. Scott also runs a weather website where he blogs about East London weather and its effect on local events and history such as election results, World War II etc.

Trees

I think that I shall never see

A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest

Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,

And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in Summer wear

A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;

Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,

But only God can make a tree.

Alfred Joyce Kilmer, 2013
